Alexandra Duncan is a Canadian Grand Prix dressage rider, FEI competitor, and high-performance coach recognized for her ability to develop horses and riders from early potential through international Grand Prix competition. Based in Wellington, Florida, Alexandra has competed extensively across Europe and North America, producing multiple horses from young horse levels to Grand Prix and earning strong results at major CDI competitions, including an invitation to Aachen, one of the most prestigious venues in international dressage.

Alexandra began riding at age four in Vancouver, British Columbia, quickly establishing herself as one of Canada’s top young riders. Training under Olympian Leslie Reid, she earned multiple medals at the North American Young Rider Championships and received the Fiona Baan Memorial Trophy for highest combined scores. Her European education included five years training full-time in Germany with Olympic silver medalist Ellen Bontje, followed by advanced work with Jan Brink, Bert Rutten, Anky van Grunsven, and Sjef Janssen. During this period, she developed her longtime partner Vitall, progressing from young horse classes to international Grand Prix, and achieved podium finishes at major European CDIs, including a top-three result at Aachen in the Developing Grand Prix division.

Since relocating to Wellington in 2014, Alexandra has competed in over 80 U.S. dressage competitions, earning USDF Gold and Silver Medals while continuing to campaign multiple horses from Small Tour through Grand Prix. Most recently, she reached a top FEI world ranking with Hitmaker, a KWPN-approved stallion she brought to Grand Prix in under a year.
