Beginning his riding career at a young age, Florentino developed a deep passion for equitation and show jumping, steadily progressing through international ranks. His career highlights include Individual Gold at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, multiple International Rider of the Year honors from the Dominican Equestrian Federation, and representing his nation at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in show jumping.
