Josue Morales is a highly experienced professional farrier and the founder of Sway’s Shoeing, providing trusted hoof care services throughout Palm Beach County, Florida. With over 20 years of hands-on experience, Josue is known for his consistency, craftsmanship, and horse-first approach, supporting soundness and comfort for horses across disciplines and levels.
Josue began his formal education at the Vocational School for Equestrian Sports in Puerto Rico in 1998, where he developed a strong foundation in equine anatomy, balance, and hoof mechanics. Following his training, he spent more than a year shoeing horses throughout Puerto Rico before relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida, a move that shaped both his professional career and personal life.
In Florida, Josue completed a five-year apprenticeship under Steve Rueban, gaining extensive experience working with a wide range of horses and hoof care needs. He has since been shoeing horses in Palm Beach County for over 15 years, building long-standing relationships with clients who value his reliability, fairness, and attention to detail. He is currently partnered with James Burrell, a well-known and respected farrier in the region, further strengthening the depth of expertise behind Sway’s Shoeing.
Josue’s work includes routine shoeing, corrective and supportive farriery, balanced trimming, and long-term hoof care planning, always tailored to the individual horse’s needs, workload, and comfort. His philosophy centers on honest communication, practical solutions, and doing what is right for the horse, not just what is convenient.
