Joyce van Rooijen-Heuitink is an internationally respected Grand Prix rider, FEI Level 2/3★ judge, and elite coach, recognized for her extraordinary impact across international dressage and para-dressage sport at the highest level. With decades of experience in competition, judging, and high-performance coaching, Joyce brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to the development of horse and rider combinations.

As a Grand Prix competitor and trainer, Joyce has produced numerous international combinations, including medal-winning riders at the European Youth Championships and Asian Games, reflecting her ability to guide athletes from development stages to championship success. Her training philosophy is grounded in classical correctness, precision, and harmony, with a focus on building strong foundations that support long-term progression.

Joyce is widely recognized for her role as Head Coach of the Dutch Para Dressage Team for over 12 years, where she led the program to an exceptional 81 international medals, including Team Gold at both European and World Championships. Her work has set a benchmark for high-performance training, adaptability, and athlete development on the global stage.

In addition, Joyce has contributed significantly to dressage within the Dutch eventing system, serving as Dressage Trainer for national teams across Senior, U25, Young Rider, and Junior levels, helping riders strengthen flatwork and elevate overall performance. She has also served as Top Sport Advisor and Assistant Trainer for the Finnish Para Dressage Team, further extending her influence internationally.

Her experience as an FEI judge provides riders with invaluable insight into scoring, test strategy, and the details that define top performances, making her coaching both technically precise and competition-focused.
