Kelly Layne is an Olympic dressage rider, international Grand Prix competitor, and highly experienced dressage specialist with one of the most extensive competition records in the sport. Originally representing Australia and now competing for the United States, Kelly is based at the Palm Beach Equine Sports Complex in Wellington, Florida, where she has trained and competed since 2012. Her international career spans over a decade of FEI competition, with 111 CDI starts and 31 international wins, including 55 Grand Prix CDI appearances across Australia, Japan, Germany, Austria, Denmark, and the United States.
Kelly represented Australia at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 aboard Samhitas, marking her third horse ranked inside the FEI Top 100 World Rankings. Her competitive highlights include earning USDF Grand Prix Horse of the Year in 2023 with Fernando (median score of 75%), serving as Runner-Up at the USEF Developing Grand Prix Championships in 2025 with Living Diamond, and medaling at the CDIO 5★ Nations Cup in Wellington. Across her career, Kelly has competed in over 650 dressage competitions on 48 horses, including 400+ FEI starts, reflecting exceptional depth, consistency, and adaptability as both a rider and trainer.
