Raul Roa Vadillo is an internationally recognized dressage rider and trainer whose global experience spans Spain, China, Australia, and the United States, giving him a uniquely broad perspective on equestrian education and horse development. A graduate of the prestigious Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, Raul combines a deeply classical foundation with a modern, biomechanics-based approach that emphasizes harmony, balance, and long-term progression in both horse and rider.  

Raul’s riding and training experience includes developing horses from the early stages to advanced work, training and competing at Intermediaire I, and earning regional recognition for his work with Lipizzan horses known for their expressive movement and classical training demands. His career has included roles with esteemed programs such as Tempel Lipizzans, where he worked within a tradition steeped in classical dressage and educational excellence that has influenced generations of riders and trainers; Helgstrand USA; Sons of the Wind, and currently at IDA Farms in Wellington, Florida, where he continues to develop both horses and riders in a supportive, high-level training environment.  

Raul is also a sought-after clinician nationwide, known for his expertise in work in hand, a foundational method that develops strength, rhythm, and clarity before riders take traditional contact. Whether developing young horses, refining the skills of seasoned competitors, or teaching riders of all backgrounds, Raul’s focus remains on clear communication, classical alignment, and steady progression.
